Betsy DeVos has been behind education reform for nearly three decades. She dreams that children no matter where they are from or where they live can have access to the best possible education. Mrs. DeVos wants every child to be given the opportunity to live up their potential now and well into their future.This dream manifested when her own children were of school aged and she realized that her children didn’t have to worry about not getting the best possible education because Dick and Betsy Devos were fortunate enough to have the means to achieve this goal for their children. She quickly realized that not every parent was in that position and wanted to help them by working on education reform.Her work has given millions of children opportunities to get a quality education that they might other wise not have had access to.

Betsy Devos and her husband started by supporting Potter’s House Christian School. They started by supporting one student from Potter’s House at a time, but it has grown from there and they are now largely contributing to Porter’s House to help benefit many individuals. Betsy Devos also started a foundation to provide scholarships to low-income families, but she realized quickly that there wss still more to be done.She then began working on education reform in her state of Michigan. In 1993, she helped pass the state of Michigan’s first charter school bill. Betsy also started a political committee called the Great Lakes Education Project. This action committee worked to on charter school expansion across the state of Michigan. Over the next two years, Betsy DeVos decided she wanted to take the succeed they had in Michigan with education reform and use it at a national level.

Thus, American Federation for Children was born and with a ton of hard work has been quite successful in education reform on a nationwide level. They have seen great educational changes in Florida, Louisiana, and Indiana. There is still more work to do and the hard work of great changes in education is on going rough out the rest of the United States. Betsy DeVos is is also looking forward to more schools implementing technology into everyday learning because it can make learning fun therefore very motivating for children. Betsy DeVos also like the idea of parents choosing what kind of education his best for their own child whether it is homeschooled, charter school, public or private in the end it what each parent thinks is best for their child.Betsy DeVos currently serves as the secretary of education for the United States. As the secretary of education for the United States sure will continue to work along side President Donald Trump to improve the quality and opportunities of education for all children.

For their successful integration of history and modern luxury, Jason Halpern and JMH Development received the 2011 Building Brooklyn Award for adaptive reuse.Another Brooklyn project, the Townhouses of Cobble Hill, is a collection of nine luxury townhomes newly designed by JMH Development.

Four of them were renovated from existing townhomes and another five were constructed specifically for the Cobble Hill project. After they were completed in the summer of 2015, they were quickly sold and are considered among the more desirable living spaces in their Brooklyn neighborhood.JMH Development has even branched out of their Brooklyn specialty with a partnership in a new hotel on Miami’s famous South Beach. When it opened in early 2015, Aloft South Beach was the first hotel built in the area since 2009, and its prime location right on Lake Pancoast and the Collins Canal is just one block away from the famous South Beach. It caters also to many up and coming local musicians, who can take advantage of the live, free access alongside popular major bands by performing Live at Aloft Hotels.

The Aloft Hotel was not the final time Jason Halpern ventured into South Beach’s booming real estate market. Their new project, a condominium on 3rd and Collins, will offer premier luxury living in a 47,000 square foot boutique condominium building. The location was chosen for its proximity to the beach, as well as numerous bars and restaurants.With all of their developments, Jason Halpern and JMH Development have taken an innovative approach to creating real estate ventures, from the historic locations to booming waterfront locations in Brooklyn and Miami’s South Beach. Adam Goldenberg recently appeared on CNBC to discuss a change to his company, JustFab. The company was rebranded as TechStyle Fashion Group just this last year, a move that Goldenberg and his co-CEO Don Ressler made because of how he perceives the fashion shopping model is changing. Goldenberg’s company has opened physical retail stores and plans to open more in the future, so shopping in outlet malls is not likely to change. But online branding is something that spurred the popularity of JustFab, and big data analysis in running the company’s inventory has become a mainstay, that Adam Goldenberg and Ressler decided to name the company TechStyle Fashion Group as a signature of what happens when technology meets fashion shopping.

Adam Goldenberg has always been a man who has used technology and marketing to his advantage, starting his first company when he was only 15 years old called Gamer’s Alliance. This company became quite a phenomena, and digital media agency Intermix Media decided to buy it and hire Goldenberg on their technical team. Adam Goldenberg had just barely completed high school when he went to work for Intermix Media, and at only 20 years old he became the company’s chief operating officer. While there, he also met the founder of FitnessHeaven.com, Don Ressler who would become Goldenberg’s friend and primary business partner.

Goldenberg and Ressler began experimenting with various brands and e-commerce business ideas while still at Intermix Media, and they came up with the idea to launch Alena, an e-commerce store that became a hit when MySpace was founded. But in 2005, News Corp took over Intermix Media and Alena went by the wayside. Unhappy with the new management, Goldenberg and Ressler decided to leave the MySpace parent company. In 2006, they founded Intelligent Beauty through which they started several health and beauty product brands.

Adam Goldenberg and Ressler decided to become fashion salesmen in 2010 when the idea for JustFab started taking off. It began with some ideas from friends of theirs in the fashion industry, and soon evolved to hosting functions and other meetings. But the idea to run a VIP member company along with affordable merchandise also resonated well with celebrities such as Kimora Lee Simmons, and later actress Kate Hudson who has become the face of subsidiary Fabletics. As of today, JustFab has become fully independent of venture capital funding and is also valuated at over $1 billion.
